Internal Results

We’re still using the bars from the first version of Pure Amore, the one that I decided not to sell because its quality was not up to my standards. Even though this was a rejected batch, we’ve noticed some positive qualities of this soap.

• General showering. I think my wife’s words provide the best description: “It goes on like silk and rinses away clean.”
• Heavy-duty cleaning. After getting some dirty vehicle grease on my hands, I used a bar of Pure Amore (v1) to wash them. It cleaned pretty well, although not as well as a strong industrial hand cleaner would. On the other hand, it left my hands feeling a lot smoother than a strong hand cleaner, which gives me more of a bleached feeling.
• Shaving. Pure Amore is the best shaving soap I’ve used. It goes on easily, and lets the razor glide effortlessly. After shaving, it rinses away quickly and cleanly, leaving no residue. The only downside for “visual shavers” is the low lather, which does not give you obvious razor trails to follow.
• Makeup removal. According to my wife, Pure Amore (v1) is the best makeup removal soap she has used. It has a very smooth feel, and removes her makeup very quickly. As a result, she did not get any soap in her eyes, as she always used to when removing her eye makeup.

As a result of my wife’s feedback, I decided to see if Pure Amore was less irritating to my eyes than regular soap. In the shower, I intentionally put soap into one eye. It stung pretty badly! So be advised that Amore Soap will irritate your eyes.
